About the event

BEFORE BOOKING: Please do not book unless you are certain this workshop is for you, cancellations must be made 3 weeks in advance, minus a 30% processing fee.

COVID 19 SAFETY: Due to covid 19, all participants and guests must either be adequately distanced (2m apart throughout the workshop), or be wearing masks. We will attend wearing a mask, and will keep a safe distance from guests throughout the workshop. As these requirements are constantly evolving, exact instructions will be communicated to you at least 48 hours before your class/event.

Don't be afraid to try your hand at canning fruits and making delicious compots! Homemade is always better than store bought, nevermind how much you'll save! Plus the flavour combinations are endless! We will teach you our streamlined, no fuss methods for canning seasonal fruit– whole, halved or in a compote.

In this workshop you will learn how to safely can fruit and compotes . You’ll learn how to choose and prepare your fruit and how to substitute sugar syrup with flavorful alternatives. You’ll learn the difference between hot packing and raw packing and which to use for which fruit. You will learn to eliminate steps from the traditional canning process and how to avoid party poopers like mold and yeast.

By the end of this 1 1/2 hour class you’ll be able to confidently can fruit in just about any liquid and before you know it, your pantry will be full to the brim with breakfasts-in-a-pinch, easy desserts, and healthy snacks.

- Cost is $50 +gst per participant. You will be sent an invoice once you have RSVP'd. Due to the popularity of these events, we can only hold your spot for 48 hours while awaiting payment.

Please note we cannot accommodate requests for specific fruits or recipes. All of our produce is fully seasonal, grown on our farm or sourced from trusted growers.

Thank you, we can't wait to meet you!
